Troop 1880 is chartered by Faith United Methodist Church located at 4600 FM 359, Richmond Texas

Troop's First Hike

Formed in 2000 by a group of new scouts wanting to start their own tradition. Thanks to the leadership of a dedicated group of "old" scouts the troop awarded it's first Eagle rank in July 2002 and has been going strong since. There have been nearly 144 boys served by the troop over the years of which 45 have become Eagle Scouts.

The boys have earned more than 1,869 merit badges from Archery to Wood Carving. Over 493 Rank advancements from Scout to Eagle Palms. 50 Troop members have been elected to the Order of the Arrow, (Scouting’s organization of honored campers).

11 Scouts have camped more than 100 nights. Numerous man hours of service have been performed in the community.

The Troop camps almost every month and has had several high adventure events including Philmont Scout Ranch, Buffalo National River, Boundary Waters, Sea Base, and National Jamboree.

Located in the Brazos District of the Sam Houston Area Council, the troop meets weekly on Monday nights at 7:15 PM in the church area just before the gym.
